A Weekend in St. Tropez — Two Days of Heaven

Two Days of Heaven

Yellow Lamborghini’s, red Ferrari’s, azure Bentley’s, and Ivana Trump; that just about sums up my last weekend in St. Tropez. It is the ultimate island paradise filled with sparkle and glamour and everything in-between.

We of course made a stop to the legendary Nikki Beach where all the ultimate jetsetters hang out, and then there is Cub 55, which takes its name from the year in which Roger Vadim filmed “And God Created Women” in St. Tropez. This film created two legendary French icons; Bridgette Bardot and the now infamous town of St. Tropez.

The sights and sounds are filled with monster yachts, mega diamonds, and masses of playboy millionaires. It is a place where money meets beauty and beauty meets money. The glory days were in the 50’s and 60’s but the local areas have had their own sort of Renaissance the last few years and it is again the number one see and be seen center of the earth in late July and early August.

A word from Brazil
What a wonderful place for vacation. But here is Brazil we have a lot of resorts that looks the same.
I am sorry with the trouble you and your partner lived in Brazil.
But it pays the pity. Come back.

About St. Tropez
Facts about A Weekend in St. Tropez

St. Tropez began as a rather unremarkable place. It was originally a small fishing port started by the Greeks in the 8th century and stayed that way until modern times. Its only distinguishing factor being the fact that it was not accessible by roads forcing visitors to approach the island by boat.

At the beginning of the 20th century an influx of famous artists and writers found St. Tropez to be an isolated haven where they could do their work at peace from the masses. Famous names in the area inadvertently drove the public eye to the island effectively changing its landscape forever.

Today it is this very quality that makes St. Tropez a tourist hot spot. Since the 1950s it has become an international center of celebrities, sex, parties, and fine culture. More big money flows through St. Tropez then a high rolling Las Vegas Casino.
