Revolution in the Air

A petite beautiful young blonde girl named Kusha was patiently waiting for us as Luba and I arrived at our apartment in Kiev.

It was with great enthusiasm that we arrived in the capital this year. The smell of revolution was in the air and the color orange gave the city a festive mood as we drove in from the airport.

We are located in the heart of the action, almost right on revolution square, and the excitement had so affected Kusha you could feel the adrenaline as I started to capture the first exposures of her. What a start to a week in the Ukraine! If all models have revolution running through their veins this will be a joy ride I will never forget. Take a peek at the Day 1 photos: A true Kiev Cutey!

Petter, where we see you in Kishinev? You worked in Romania and Ukraine - so take a shot at between these two countries! Posting a want ad on the university bulletine boards will get a huge response. My X-wife is from Kiev and I've been been there. The downtown Mc Donalds on Krushatic is a fashion show on Fri. & Sat. nights. Supermodel-types everywhere. With a little money and a little Russian it could be a photog's paradise. I boy could have a lot of fun there.

For a thousand years the Ukraine has been dominated by Mongols, Russians, the Polish, even the Cossacks and the Lithuanians. The invaders have come and gone but the people have remained grittily determined to be free.

Independence finally came in 1991, but it wasn't until the closing months of 2004 when the peaceful mass protest called the Orange Revolution forced the authorities to overturn the rigged presidential election to allow a monitored vote that swept reformist Viktor Yushchenko to power.
